1996 Chevrolet Geo Metro G10 1.0L Engine Block and Cylinder Head Repair.
This time we are just doing the Machine Services on the block and head, instead of a long block rebuild. A DIY Customer wanted machine services and an engine rebuild kit so he could put it together himself. He will get it back looking good, ready to dig in.
He dropped off the block, head, pistons and crankshaft so we could work our magic.
The block needs a Bore & Hone. Crankshaft needs a Grind and Polish.
Cylinder head needs a Valve Job, and we need to Hang the Rods/New Pistons.
We give it a good inspection, make sure there are no cracks and that everything is in good condition.

Just out of the Hot Tank and were ready to Bore and Hone the G10 engine block.
G10 cylinder head is taken apart so we can complete a Valve Job: Grind valves, Cut seats, Install new guides, Resurface, Clean and Assemble.

The engine block gets a second hot tank, then a coat of paint to seal out any dirt. The block casting numbers and G10 engine number really stand out on the clean surface.
