90 Ford 302 Engine Rebuild

Remanufactured Ford 302 Engine.

Model: 1990 Ford Mustang 302 5.0 16V OHV V8 in for a complete engine rebuild.

Machine Services: Teardown, Inspection, Hot tank, Bore and Hone engine block, Grind and Polish Crank and Cam, and Valve job on heads.
Engine Rebuild Kit with New deep dish pistons, Rings, Rod bearings, Main bearings, Cam bearings, Freeze plugs, Full gasket set, Lifters, Oil pump, and Timing kit.

Normally, I get a few shots “Before” and during the teardown, this time I missed out.  I’m jumping forward to block work.

Valve Job

Time to freshen up the cylinder heads.
Grind valves, Cut valve seats, Resurface, Install new guides and Valve stem seals, Clean, Paint and assemble.

Short Block Assembly

Block work and Head work is complete.  We are ready to build the short block with New pistons, rings, engine bearings,  freeze plugs, timing set, reground crank and cam.

We install the bearings, drop in the crank, hang the pistons, and it’s lookin’ good.

3/4 done, time to bolt on the cylinder heads and complete this Long Block rebuild.  Gaskets, Lifters and Timing set installed.  Finishing up with the rockers, push rods and the center plate.
